Registration for Site Visit

APUF-8 offers site visit for international participants. We encourage all participants to get the most out of your journey by joining various programs throughout the week.

The tour registration will be taken via the online registration link only. No email or on-site registrations will be accepted. Each tour accommodates 50 people. The tour will visit the locations listed below.

	Media Art Show represents the “Reformed City of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress” that King Jeongjo dreamed of through colorful lights. The innovative story of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress designed by King Jeongjo for his filial piety and love for people has been demonstrated in chronological order of how it was created. 	Hwaseong Fortress is a fortification surrounding the old city center of Suwon. It was constructed from 1794 to 1796, built as a display of King Jeongjo’s filial piety towards his father and to build a new pioneer city with its own economic power. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Korea’s most important historical treasures and is the only remaining walled fortress in the country. Hwaseong Fortress Tourist Trolley is a tourist train that circulates the main tourist attractions of Hwaseong Fortress. Tourists may travel major gates and military facilities comfortably and pleasantly. 	[Environment] Suwon Arboretum Irwol & Sung Kyun Kwan University

	Suwon Arboretum Irwol is ecology land mark of Suwon that offers vivid nature into the everyday life of citizens. Over 2,000 different species of plants and flowers can be found in various themed gardens. Sung Kyun Kwan University is the oldest university in East Asia, it was founded at the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty in 1398 as the highest national educational institute. Though a long history and rich culture, based on a highly successful partnership with Samsung, SKKU has been rapidly developed and prospered on Natural Sciences and Humanities.
